September 6th- MVA - School Bus vs. Car

Engine 25 and Rescue 27 were alerted to the intersection of Locsut Point RD and Boiling Springs RD in the 25-06 box for a motor vehicle accident, reportedly involving a school bus. Fortunatley, the school bus did not have any children on board. A male passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital as a precaution. Company 25 personnel assisted PSP with traffic control at the scene until all vehicles were removed from the roadway.


September 9th - Search Detail

At 15:42, Company 25 was alerted to assist Adams County box 9-08 for a search detail at 401 Labor Camp RD in Huntington Twp. Utility 25 responded with two ATVs and a crew of four. Company 25 personnel assisted multiple agencies from Adams and Cumberland Counties with a ground and building search for a missing male subject. Search and Rescue agencies were also assisted STAT MedEvac 12, which provided aerial operations. Crews were released at around 19:30 hours.


September 15th - County Convention

Company 25 brought home a number of trophies from the Cumberland County Volunteer Firefighters' Association Convention, including two first place trophies. Company 25 was awarded the following:

  • 1st Place - Engine 25 - Best Appearing Engine (2001-1996)
  • 1st Place - Mini-Pumper 25 - Best Appearing Brush/Mini-Pumper
  • 2nd Place - Chief 25 - Best Appearing Chief's Vehicle
  • 3rd Place - Tanker 25 - Best Appearing Tanker

A big "thank you" to all who came out and worked hard getting the equipment ready for the Convention.

September 22nd - Mini-Pumper 25 Earns 1st Place Honors at State Convention

York, PA - Mini-Pumper 25 received a first place trophy in its category at the PA State Firefighter's Convention in York today. The honor is the second first place for the Mini-Pumper this month.


September 27th - Severe Storm Keeps Co 25 Busy

A severe storm after dinner today kept Company 25 crews busy with scattered reports of storm damage in the central parts of the township. Crews responded to nearly a half-dozen storm-related calls following the storm event.


September 29th - Monroe Fire Company Brings Home 1st Place Trophies from New Bloomfield

Monroe Fire Company attended the New Bloomfield Fire Company 75th Anniversary Parade today and brought home two first place trophies! Tanker 25 and Mini-Pumper 25 were both honored with the awards. This is the third consecutive 1st place trophy for the Mini-Pumper this month!
