May 12th - One MVA & Two Mutual Aid Assists

May 12 was a busy day for Company 25. The day started with an MVA with a vehicle overturned in the 25-02 box at the intersection of Lutztown RD and Boiling Springs RD. Rescue 40 assisted Engine 25 at the scene. Later in the day, crews were alerted to a house struck by lightning in the 33-01 box at 2 Appomatox Court; however, command 33 held the box to units from 33. Finally, Engine 25 was alerted to assist with a house fire in the 19-01 box in East Pennsboro Twp., for a house fire at 15 Cherish Drive. Engine 25 provided overhaul support and assisted with its CAFS system.


May 13th - MVA, Vehicle Overturned, Box 25-06

Engine 25 and Rescue 27 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle overturned (the second in as many days at the intersection of Boiling Springs RD and S. Locust Point RD in the 25-06 box. Crews arrived to find one pickup truck, overturned against an embankment and a passenger sedan involved. All occupants were self-extricated from the vehicles. West Shore EMS provided medical support at the scene and transported the patients to area hospitals. A special thank you to Traffic 33, as well as Mechanicsburg and Monroe fire police for providing scene control.

 

May 16th - Another Fatal MVA in the 25-06 Box

Shortly after 08:00 Engine 25 and Rescue 27 were alerted to a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of W. Lisburn RD and Boiling Springs RD. The accident involved two vehicles, one overturned and the other into a nearby residence. Unfortunately, the 19-year old male driver of the overturned vehicle died at the scene.
