August 1st- South Middleton Barn Fire, Box 35-103

Engine and Tanker 25 were alerted to a barn fire at 50 Lisburn RD in the 35-103 box. First arriving units found a fully involved barn fire and concentrated on protecting exposures. A special thank you to Engine 430 and Tanker 19 for covering the 25 house while we were out. Further details will be posted as received.


August 5th- Mass Casualty Incident (2-Vehicle MVA)

Engine Company 25 and Rescue 27 were alerted to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of S. Locust Point Rd and W. Lisburn RD with a vehicle overturned. Safety 33 arrived on scene and confirmed one vehicle had rolled over and there was a significant number of patients at the scene. Command 25 was established and immediately requested several additional BLS units. More than a dozen patients were triaged and transported by ground to several nearby hospitals.


August 11th - Bicyclist Struck

Shortly after 10:00 hours, Engine Co. 25 and Rescue 27 were alerted to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of 286 S. Locust Point RD, for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a bicyclist. Headquarters advised Lifelion was on standby due to the nature of the accident. Rescue 27 was diverted to establish a landing zone a short distance away. After an assessment by EMS personnel, the bicyclist was transported via Lifelion to a local trauma center for a possible head injury. The rider of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital for treatment.


August 21st - Thornwald Mansion Fire

Just before 0500, Engine Co 25 was alerted to a transfer assignment to Company 40's quarters while they were operating at a structure fire at the historic Thornwald Mansion, on Bicentennial Dr in Carlisle. About an hour after arriving on station, Engine 25 was summoned to the scene for manpower support. The Engine, along with a crew of five, positioned behind Engine 236 on Ridge RD and sent its manpower forward. Monroe firefighters assisted with exterior operations until Command decided to limit the use of master streams in an attempt to let the roof burn off. Engine 25 was released from the scene at approximatley 0830.
