July 19 – Monroe firefighters responded to a garage fire in the 800 block of Lisburn Road in South Middleton Township. The incident was dispatched at 7:40 AM.
Monroe responded with Engine 225 and Tanker 25 and remain on the scene until nearly 11:00 AM.
The fire occurred in a large, detached pole barn that was used to store several vehicles.
Because of the rural location of the fire, a number of tankers were used to shuttle water to the incident site.
In addition to battling the fire, crews had to battle high temperatures and oppressive humidity. A rehab unit Cumberland-Goodwill EMS (Carlisle) also responded.
Thanks to our transfer company and those who responded for all the assistance.
