Wind Damage Leads to Field Fire

Feb 11 – Monroe Fire officials believe a downed electrical wire sparked a field fire at 207 Clouser RD.  The night before, winds in excess of 40 mph struck the region and, as a result, a branch snapped off a tree and became entangled in electrical wires at that address.  Several hours later, the wire snapped, causing the fire.  Tanker 25, Brush 25, and Mini-Pumper 25 responded, along with Brush 33 to the fire. Crews contained the fire within a matter of minutes.  There was no damage to the residence or any property.
