One Flown After Lisburn Crash

July 6 –  At 5:09 p.m., Engine 25 and Rescue 27 (Citizens’ – Mechanicsburg) were dispatched along with EMS units from West Shore EMS and Dillsburg EMS to the area of West Lisburn Road and Fairway Drive for a reported single vehicle accident, overturned, with entrapment.

At the time of dispatch, Company 25 crews were en route to a medical assist incident in the 800 block of Fairfield Street in the Township.

C225 (Flickinger) continued to the EMS call while Mini-Pumper 25 and Chief 25 (Heckert) diverted to the auto accident.

Once on scene, crews found a single vehicle on its roof with one person still in the vehicle.

R27 deployed extrication equipment and crews from both companies stabilized the vehicle, removed both rear doors and a headrest for patient extrication.

Lifelion was requested and landed at the West Shore Evangelical Free Church.  Upper Allen Fire Department established the landing zone and Dillsburg EMS transported the patient to the helicopter.

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.  Crews cleared at 6:00 p.m.
