1 Ejected, 1 Entrapped in “Border” Crash

Crews work at the scene of a single vehicle crash at 1054 W Trindle RD. The driver was ejected and the passenger was trapped. Both were flown to Hershey Medical Center for their injuries. Click on the photo for a slide show from the scene.

Jan 25th – Engine Companies 33 and 25 and Rescue 27 were dispatched to an auto accident with ejection and entrapment at 17:20 hours.  Rescue 40, Engine 141, and Company 35 were first dispatched as the accident was originally thought to be in the 1000 block of Trindle RD in South Middleton Twp.

The address was corrected to 1054 W. Trindle RD in Silver Spring Twp at the intersection of W. Trindle RD and Boiling Springs RD in the 33-101 box.

E25 was directed to secure a landing zone in a field south of the accident scene.  Personnel from Rescue 40 and Engine Companies’ 33 and 41 extricated the passenger of the vehicle while the other emergency responders packaged the driver, who was ejected.  Both were flown to Hershey Medical Center for their injuries.

Crews from companies 33, 25, and 27 remained on the scene and assisted the Silver Spring Twp Police Dept. and the Cumberland County Accident Reconstruction Team as they investigated the crash.
