Monroe Fire Co.

June 24 – A severe thunderstorm struck Monroe Twp. just after 1400 hrs today, causing a number of trees and utility poles to come down and knocking out power to many in the southern half of the township.  Company 25 responded to nearly a dozen reports of storm damage across the township, mostly in the Williams Grove and Brandtsville areas.  Shortly after the storm, at 14:59, Company 25 was alerted for a RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) response to a house fire in Carroll Twp., at 30 S Alydar Blvd.  Crews returned from that incident at 15:40 and continued in storm cleanup efforts.
