E25 Assists with Upper Allen Crash

Dec 17 – At 19:21, Engine 25 was requested to the scene of an auto accident with entrapment in the 500 block of W Winding Hills RD.  Command 23 (Salter) requested E25 to assist with securing a landing zone in order to land helicopters from LifeNet (Hagerstown) and Pennstar (Reading).  E25 was available at 21:01.

Santa Visits the Township Early This Year

Bicyclist Struck on Trindle

Dec 13 – Company 25 was dispatched at 06:17 to a reported bicyclist struck at the intersection of W Trindle RD and N Locust Point RD.  West Shore EMS transported the patient by ground to a local hospital for treatment for injuries sustained in the accident.

Monroe Firefighters Complete RIT 2 Training

  Dec 12th – Monroe firefighters completed weekend-long training which dealt with advanced rapid intervention techniques used by firefighters to access and remove a downed firefighter.  Simulation work included freeing firefighters from entanglement, wall breeches, and rescuing multiple downed firefighters.  Rescue simulations were done in full turn-out gear, with SCBA and blacked out air masks.  Thanks …
