July Incident Report

For the month of July 2008, Monroe Fire Company responded to 24 alarms.  The alarms consisted of: 7 Medical Assists (33.3%) 6 Building Fires (28.5%) 3 Automatic Alarms (14.3%) 3 Auto Accidents (14.3%) 2 Water Rescue/Recovery (9.5%) 2 Miscellaneous Incidents (9.5%) 1 Wildfire (4.8%) Of those incidents, 9 (42.9%) were mutual aid calls to the following …

Tanker Takes 1st at Bendersville

It Summertime and that means parades.  This evening, Tanker 25 traveled to Bendersville, Adams County to take part in their annual parade, which is part of their annual carnival.  Judging commenced prior to the parade (and the rain) and Tanker 25 was awarded 1st Place in the Tanker category. Awards were presented following the parade.

Water Rescue Team Activated

July 29 – At 17:51, Company 25’s water rescue team was activated for possible deployment for a reported drowning a Fuller Lake at Pine Grove State Park in Cooke Twp.  The water rescue team was released from standby by Command 26 at 19:00 hours.

Two Tanker Calls for the Day

July 23 – Monroe Fire Company responded to two “structure fire” incidents this morning in surrounding municipalities. The first incident was located in South Middleton Township at 339 Petersburg RD. Silver Spring House Fire

July 9th – At 15:39, Engine and Tanker 25 were alerted to a reported house fire in Silver Springs Twp, at 1 Appomattox Court, in the Hillside Farms development, box 33-01. After arriving on scene, Command 33 held the box to companies 33 (New Kingstown) and 31 (Silver Spring) and placed the remainder available.
